This project maps out Gezelle documents in private ownership and in other institutions.
The “Gezelle Extra Muros” project aims to map out scattered collections. In doing so the Gezelle database will offer a complete overview of all known Gezelle sources including the hard-to-access documents. This includes institutions' collections as well as private ones. Our employees digitize on location. When including these documents in the database they reveal their value and meaning through the relationships to the material of the Gezelle Archives. Moreover, they can then be freely viewed and studied. The project started in 2015 and is still ongoing.
