Isidoor Fraeys, the chaplain of the Bruges printing company Saint Augustine, writes to Gezelle about various holy cards for the members of the Kortrijk family Vercruysse. He describes the price, design and print of the first communion card for Esther Vercruysse, with Gezelle's poem "Le grand Roi" (The Great King) on it. The communion card was eventually printed by another Brugean printer The Widow Petyt.
