Louis Vanheule, son of Telesfore Vanheule and Cathérine Lupar, was invigilator at the episcopal college in Kortrijk (1843). He was ordained priest in Bruges on 17 May, 1845. Next he was appointed teacher of mathematics and astronomy at the college of Saint Louis in Bruges (1845) and teacher of mathematics and physics at the minor seminary in Roeselare (1851). He became principal of the episcopal college in Oostende (1859) and parish priest in Komen on 28 June, 1864).
