Leopold Slosse, son of Jan Slosse and Ursula Vandaele, was ordained priest in Bruges on 15.06.1867. He was appointed teacher and assistant invigilator at the Saint Aloysiusschool in Kortrijk (30.03.1867) and teacher at the college in Diksmuide (15.06.1867). On 09.10.1868 he became curator in Sint-Kruis (Bruges) and subsequently curator in Izegem (06.03.1872) and parish priest in Kooigem (02.04.1891). He was a local historian and a collector of funeral cards e.a. His main work is Rond Kortryk of Schetsen over de prochien van het oud bisdom van Doornik liggende in de voormalige dekenijen van Helkyn, Kortryk en Wervick, een geschiedenis van 61 alfabetisch gerangschikte gemeenten (Around Kortrijk or Description of the parishes belonging to the ancient diocese of Doornik and situated in the former deaneries of Helkyn, Kortrijk and Wervick).
