Jean Casier

Jean Casier was the grandfather of the Brugean composer and musical pedagogue Joseph Ryelandt (07.04.1870-29.06.1965). He married with Louise de Hemptinne (1826-1901). They had one daughter and seven sons. Jean Casier belonged to the elite of the Ghent catholic bourgeoisie and was a talented amateur violinist.
