Carolus (Karel) Foulon, son of Joannes Foulon, farm labourer, and Maria Laebens, took holy orders in Bruges on March 6th, 1852. He became coadjutor in Dentergem (March 15th, 1852) and in Kortrijk (April 18th, 1881). He was appointed parish priest in Outryve (May 13th, 1871), Nieuwkerke (May 13th, 1874) and Sint-Denijs (October 26th, 1881).
