Augustin Van Becelaere

Augustin Van Becelaere, son of Josephus-Arsenius-Aurelius Van Becelaere, wig maker, and Julia Groulez, was a cofounder of and teacher at the college in Oostende (October 1842). In October 1848 he went to work as a teacher at the College of Saint Louis in Bruges. He was ordained priest in Bruges on June 19th, 1848. Subsequently he became the first dean of Vivenkapelle (18.02.1858), parish priest in Dranouter (27.08.1875) and parish priest in Kachtem (25.02.1881).
