Auguste Reynaert

Auguste Reynaert studied at the university in Leuven, graduating as a doctor for Philosophy and Literature (1855) and Law (1858). He settled in Kortrijk where he acted as a barrister till 1910. He was elected member of the town council in 1866 and became the mayor in 1885, a function that he would perform till his death.
